Following the launch of the UK Renewable Energy Strategy, Communities and Local Government and the Advisory Team for Large Applications (ATLAS) have been asked by CLG to deliver a pilot programme to test the use of planning performance agreements (PPAs) for low carbon and renewable energy schemes in England. Local Planning Authorities and their development partners are invited to put forward projects which would benefit from using a PPA. The funding will be used to deliver expert consultancy support to help them through the PPA process. This programme is open to any planning proposal with a demonstrable low carbon approach, including those linked to new housing developments.
