  Many Local Planning Authorities have experienced resourcing problems in recent years when it comes to dealing with major development pre-application discussions and applications, as well as production of background studies/evidence to LDF documents. I am aware of pre-app charging and some other initiatives to achieve developer funding to pay for these costs but would like some specific examples of direct funding arrangements, both from private and public sectors.Details of the type of measures, agreements etc to secure the funding that have been entered into would be most useful along with any conditions/restrictions.

  I am interested in gathering examples of approaches to allocation of strategic sites in Core Strategies, now revised PPS 12 issued, and subsequent details in AAP's or SPD's. What are people doing? and what is influencing choices of policy approach. What are the preceived pros and cons of either Area Action Plan or Supplementary Planning Document.
